S&S Sprinkler Tapped to Provide Crucial Fire Protection Infrastructure at Airbus.


S&S is excited to announce that we’ve been selected to provide the fire protection infrastructure for the new Central Utilities Plant on the Airbus site in Mobile, Al. Airbus is building a new $600 Million aircraft final assembly line (FAL) plant with room for expansion.

“S&S is proud to be working with Brasfield & Gorrie, and the entire Honeywell team to provide the mission critical fire protection central functions, including the site fire pumps, water storage tanks and sprinkler systems for the Central Utilities Plant,” said Derick Boutwell, S&S Project Manager.  “We are honored to have been selected as one of, if not the first, fire protection contractor for the Airbus site.”

Charlotte Kopf, Manager for Mobile Section, Alabama Associated General Contractors said, “On behalf of the Mobile Section, AlabamaAGC we are excited to hear that S&S Sprinkler, a locally owned and operated company and member of AlabamaAGC, has been awarded the Fire Protection package at the Airbus Central Utilities Plant. Local participation is key to jump starting the sluggish construction market that has been predominant since 2008 in the Mobile area. On behalf of Mobile Section, Alabama AGC, congratulations to S&S Sprinkler for being awarded this project.”
