Hurricane Preparedness: Is Your Business Ready?

S&S_hurricane_blog

This week is National Hurricane Preparedness Week. With the upcoming prediction of storms and hurricanes this year it is important to know what to do in case of an emergency. This is why the National Weather Service takes time each year to educate everyone.

Not only is prepping your homes and having the right supplies important, it is also just as important to protect your business. Lots of alarm panels are running on old batteries, so when the power goes out for an extended period of time, the batteries won’t recharge. Take the time to update your alarm system’s batteries. If you put this off, it could end up costing your business extra money.

Also, when is the last time your office building was inspected? To prepare for the upcoming hurricane season be sure your inspections are up to date. Have you checked your sprinkler systems or fire suppression systems lately? What about your integrated security systems? Protecting your building and all its contents is vital to your business.

For more information, visit the National Weather Service website here. For all your automatic sprinkler system inspections, call us at 1-800-443-5897.
