Your Office Security & Sprinkler System: Is It Prepared for a Storm? Part 1

Unfortunately bad weather doesn’t discriminate against your company or building. Is your alarm system for your property ready for a possible hurricane heading towards the coast? It might be time to check your systems battery backup and your Sprinkler System’s air compressor.

Alarm Systems have backup batteries that allow for the system to function even when building loses power. Batteries typically only last 5 years before needing replacement and we often forget to have them checked. With severe storms coming, now would be a good time to get them checked.

Not only is it important to check your alarm systems but also the sprinkler system in the event of a fire.

Many fire sprinkler systems are “dry” and they use an air compressor to pump air into the piping system. Often, when power goes out for long periods of time, the air pressure can drop in the pipe and water will fill the pipe. If you have concerns about your dry-pipe sprinkler systems, call us or your Sprinkler System provider.
